The judge presiding over Paul Manafort’s trial for bank and tax fraud at a federal court in Alexandria, Virginia refused to reveal the names of the jurors today, after revealing that he has received death threats.

The Daily Caller reports Judge T.S. Ellis III said he has had to receive protection from the U.S. Marshals Service over concerns for his own safety and out of concern for the safety of jurors, would keep their names sealed.

Ellis made the comments after a coalition of left-wing news organizations — including The Washington Post, The New York Times, CNN, NBC, Politico and BuzzFeed — filed suit on Thursday to get the names and addresses of jurors seated for Manafort’s case.
