The Daily Caller is reporting that new communications reveal that high up employees at Google, bitter about President Trump’s election in 2016, debated ways in which to bury conservative media outlets in the company’s search function.

The Daily Caller notes one post by Google engineer Scott Byer in 2016 falsely labeled The Daily Caller and Breitbart as “opinion blogs” as he lamented that the conservative news outlets had been “elevated next to legitimate news organizations” adding, “That’s something that can and should be fixed.”

The thread, which included a Google vice president urged employees to “make sure that we reverse things in four years.”

Emails also show Google employees tried to manipulate search results to combat Trump’s travel ban in 2017.
