As was the case last year, mainstream media has remained remarkably consistent in its overwhelmingly negative coverage of President Trump.

New numbers out from the Media Research Center, which has analyzed coverage of President Trump on the ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts, since he took office found the tone of coverage remains hostile.

Newsbusters reports the analysis found 90% of coverage was negative, with just 10% positive or neutral. The numbers match the historically bad press that was documented in 2017.

However, according to Real Clear Politics, despite the media’s obvious disapproval, public opinion of the President actually improved slightly during 2018.

Trump’s job approval rating rose from 40% to 42.7% over the course of 2018.
