The Bruce Hooley Show

Bruce opens the show talking about a recent petition that demanded the city of Columbus remove all flock cameras. The petition had only 600 signatures, the only reason these people want the cameras removed is that they don't want crimes to be solved.

Bruce gets into the discussion about how Islam continues to expand around the world but specifically here in our country. It's completely unbelievable for them to try to say Islam has no intentions of taking over the country, because that's exactly what it's goal is.

In this edition of today in crazy, Bruce examines the preparations for the Minnesota State Fair where they expect a battle royale between rival Somali gangs. The question is, what are they still doing here?

Bruce has his weekly conversation with Josh Pick where they discuss the economy and some retirement tips that you might find helpful.

Bruce spends the entirety of the first segment discussing a number of court cases that have been in the news. Bruce takes a side on the Lindsey Clancy case and decides that she should never be allowed back into the general public after what she did.

Bruce takes the majority of the second segment to take a look at what is going on with Columbus schools. What are they teaching these kids and are we actually going to make a move back to more common sense teachings?

In the second hour of the show Bruce looks at the radical leftist candidates running for various positions who are selling rage politics. They are making outrageous statements with no basis in fact and trying to get people fired up about nonexistent problems.

Bruce closes the show with a study that claims there are 26 million LGBTQ+ people living in America. This comes from the Human Rights Campaign who focuses on LGTBQ+ rights. The data for this study definitely seems like it's not to be taken seriously.

Bruce opens the show once again talking about the consistent rain fall that we've had here in Columbus. This is one of the wettest months on record in the history of the city and the roads are definitely feeling the effects.

Bruce goes back into the illegal immigration conversation and the strain that all of these people who are non-citizens are putting on the country's economy. American citizens are really hurting in part because of all of the people who aren't supposed to be here.

Bruce talks about the ongoing battle in the WNBA about whether men should be allowed to play women's sports and how many supposed news outlets refuse to cover the story of the women standing up for women. Journalism just isn't what it used to be.

Bruce talks about the story of a women who strangled her three children who's defense is that she was clinically insane and shouldn't be held accountable for her actions. The amount of support she is getting from other women is really concerning to say the least.

After months of unsubtle hints, Columbus City Council President Shannon Hardin has launched his mayoral campaign to challenge fellow Democrat and incumbent Mayor Andrew Ginther in 2027.  Hardin labels himself an agent of change, and Bruce reviews his credentials.  Don't get it twisted, Mayor Ginther is still a dope, so the debate between Ginther and Hardin is like the age old debate of who is your favorite of "The Three Stooges."

Bruce gives an update on several violent stories from the past few weeks... like the shooting at a funeral home in Columbus, and the Delaware County murder of Dr. Tamela Dutcher.  Bruce goes through some of the new details in each of those cases.  Diego Montoya Gonzales is facing multiple felony charges after a Franklin County Grand Jury indicted him in connection with an alleged attempt to rape a child in Columbus. Gonzales is the same man arrested last month in connection with the rape of an 11-year-old in Grove City. 

Matt Mayer joins the show.  Bruce and Matt discuss the Ohio Governor's race, and what each candidate should be doing right now to win votes in the state.  Also, in "Today In Crazy," Bruce touches on several stories including Darlene Graham and her crazy answer when questioned about Taiwan's security in the South China Sea.  Also, Amazon is looking at delivering many of it's packages, weighing under 5lbs., via drone to over 500 cities.  

Bruce reviews candidates representing the Democrat Party, and challenges the qualifications of many of the highlighted candidates.  Challenges listeners to review their record, and really dig into whether or not a candidate has what's best for you in mind. Also, Shannon Hardin claims to be a "change agent."  But, does his political record really lend to the proof of his focus on being an element of change? Bruce provides an update on the two civil lawsuits have been filed in connection with a deadly wrong-way crash on state Route 315 in May.
The lawsuits were filed by the estate of Kaitlyn Spahr, who was killed in the crash, and by Soogie Choi, who was seriously hurt. Both suits name two defendants. One is Xiaoke Fan, who is accused of stealing a car and driving the wrong way on Route 315 before crashing head-on into the vehicle Spahr and Choi were in. The other defendant is the woman whose car Fan allegedly stole! Lastly, Franklin County ends contract with poverty nonprofit RISE Together Innovation Institute.  Let's just say Bruce was not surprised...

Jack is back in for Bruce today and he opens the show talking about What's going on in New York City and an update on the Fauci hearings, and what those mean for Amy Acton here in Ohio.

Jack answers a few phone calls during this segment and tries to address questions about why nobody has been charged with anything and why we have such a hard time electing a serviceable republican governor here in Ohio.

Bruce talks with Sara Brenner about the housing market in the Columbus area and wonders what is being done to address the housing shortage. They also discuss some housing and zoning laws that may be impactful to local homeowners.

Bruce closes out the show talking with Donovan O'Neil about the upcoming elections and what is going through the voters minds when they get ready to check off the boxes for their selected candidates.
